Michael Hilgers, whose brand of “pragmatic design” we looked at here, is at it again. The Berlin-based architect has designed this wonderful KOMMODUL modular furniture set for Scandinavian manufacturer Iversen Interior:
“[It’s] the first modular chest of drawers made of solid wood,” writes Hilgers. “Traditional design elements and contemporary functions can be combined according to needs and budget.”
The design is brand-new and only recently debuted, at this year’s Die Messe Fürs Möbelbusiness furniture fair in Germany. It will reportedly be manufactured in Denmark, and at press time it hadn’t yet appeared on Iversen’s website.
